The terraced fields in Hoang Su Phi are locates in 6 communes of Ban Luoc, San Sa Ho, Ban Phung, Ho Thau, Nam Ty and Thong Nguyen, considered as the most beautiful in Vietnam with hundreds of year of reclamation history of La Chi, Dao, Nung minority people. The generations of indigenous people have sweat and blood in exchange for beautifully curved fields. Referring to the Hoang Su Phi terraces, it is impossible not to mention the terraced fields in Ban Luoc and Ban Phung villages in which are really great artificial works that are hard to find.
From the center of Ban Phung commune, there is also a layer, layers of golden terraces. In Ban Phung, the stilted houses between the lush fields surrounding the terraced fields stretch from village to village, from mountain to mountain, stretching down the stream. Looking up from high site, the terraces like a silk strip are flying in the wind, spreading the whole area from the top to the foot of the mountain.
Mu Cang Chai is a highland district of Yen Bai province, about 280 km from Hanoi. This place is famous for the scenic rice terraces ripe rice season and is the destination where welcomes thousands of visitors from all over the country to visit.
From middle September to middle October, Mu Cang Chai will be a bright yellow rice color, beautiful weather, favorable to visit.
From September to October, Sapa is wearing a bright ripe yellow rice. This is the most appropriate time to visit Sapa according to many visitors.
The terrace fields of Sapa have many, but most notably Ta Van, Hao Thao and Lao Chai villages of Sa Pa district located in Muong Hoa valley. This is the largest and most beautiful terraced field in Sa Pa with a total area of nearly 1,000ha. Vu Lung Sung field, Trung Chai commune (Sa Pa district) is the most rice field in Vietnam (121 steps).

Ha Nhi people in Y Ty – Bat Xat – Lao Cai is a well-known ethnic group with terraced fields in the most beautiful of ethnic minority communities with traditional terraced fields. Although the terrain is sloping high or low, with their level and experience, they can still create terraces beautiful and fertile.
